According to European Union Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius, Western intelligence agencies have gathered evidence suggesting that Russia is discussing the possibility of a direct attack on NATO member states.

Similar warnings had previously been issued by German intelligence agencies, which also confirmed that similar discussions are taking place within Russia’s military and political circles.

Kubilius stressed that this information should serve as a wake-up call for Europe, underlining that strengthening defense capabilities must remain a top priority.
