This is a message to some people I know personally: Return your phone to the store where you bought it—or gift it to someone who actually needs it.
If you’re not answering calls or replying to messages, then why do you even need a phone? Let’s just start developing our telepathic skills for communication. If your phone is nothing more than a souvenir that sits in your pocket, on your desk, in your car, or in "the other room"...
There’s really no point in talking further. You’re not going to answer the call anyway. If it’s that difficult to touch the little green phone icon, then please donate your phone to someone who can actually use it. At least then, you’d be of some benefit to someone.
The great inventor Graham Bell poured his heart and soul into creating a device that changed the world forever. If you’re going to ignore incoming calls, please don’t disgrace the labor of that dedicated man. If you want to live in a world before Graham Bell, that’s your personal choice—but don’t make those trying to reach you suffer because of it.
Just answer the call. Let that innocent person calling you know that you’ve chosen to live outside the 20th century. Do that much—just once. Answer the phone. Just once.
